Compensation Range: $75,000 – $90,000 base salary + bonus eligibility

Position Summary


The Manual QA Tester – Mobile plays a critical role in ensuring quality across iOS and Android applications by partnering closely with engineering throughout the development lifecycle. This role operates within a shift-left QA model, contributing early to feature planning, testability discussions, and validation of both UI and backend interactions. The position requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to balance hands-on testing with proactive quality advocacy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own QA validation for mobile features from early development through production release
  • Apply shift-left testing principles by participating in story refinement and testability discussions
  • Execute manual, exploratory, and regression testing across iOS and Android platforms
  • Validate API interactions and mobile endpoints using tools such as Charles Proxy
  • Create, maintain, and expand test cases and coverage within TestRail
  • Document defects clearly and partner with engineers to drive resolution
  • Collaborate with automation engineers to identify high-value test cases for automation
  • Contribute to QA best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a QA tester, QA analyst, or QA engineer role
  • Hands-on experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android devices and emulators
  • Strong understanding of QA best practices including shift-left testing, exploratory testing, and edge case analysis
  • Experience executing test cycles and reporting results with clear documentation
  • Experience validating API interactions or mobile endpoints
  • Proficiency with Android Studio and Xcode
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working within Agile Scrum teams


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing comprehensive manual test plans and test strategies
  • Experience using Charles Proxy or similar network inspection tools
  • Familiarity with issue tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira or other Atlassian products
  • Exposure to design or collaboration tools such as Figma
  • Experience working within Google Workspace environments
  • Experience with mobile performance benchmarking or profiling
