Title: Senior Manager, Operations & Systems (Property Management Systems)

Employment Type: Contract (6+ months)

Compensation Range: $80–$100/hour

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Work Schedule: Hybrid / 2-3 days in office

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Operations & Systems will lead the management, optimization, and continuous improvement of internal property management and maintenance systems. This role acts as the primary bridge between business operations, internal technology teams, and third-party vendors to ensure systems effectively support operational goals and scalability.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the day-to-day operations of internal property management and maintenance systems
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and third-party vendors
  • Lead system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations to improve operational efficiency
  • Oversee and mentor a team of Business Analysts / Business Systems Analysts
  • Gather, define, and prioritize business requirements aligned with operational objectives
  • Drive system optimization initiatives including workflow improvements and automation
  • Ensure system stability, data integrity, and performance across all locations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Facilities, Finance, and IT
  • Manage vendor relationships including issue resolution and roadmap alignment
  • Support change management, user training, and adoption of system updates

 

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in operating systems, business systems, or application management
  • Strong experience with property management systems, preferably Yardi
  • Proven experience leading system implementations, upgrades, or integrations
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring analysts
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows within property management or real estate environments
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working with external vendors and internal technology teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in storage, real estate, or property management industries
  • Familiarity with maintenance management or facilities systems
  • Experience in large, multi-location operational environments
